Welcome to Mizu River House — a riverside retreat where the Deschutes flows right past your door. Mizu, meaning "water" in Japanese, captures why our family fell in love with this spot: the calm of the river, the quiet of the pines, and the feeling of slowing down together. We built this home with Japandi design in mind — clean, uncluttered spaces layered with natural warmth — because we wanted somewhere that felt both peaceful and welcoming from the moment you walk in.
This is a home for reconnecting — with the people you love and the landscape around you. Spend your mornings on the water, your afternoons chasing new adventures, and your evenings gathered together as the sun sets over the river. Whether you're here for a family reunion, a multi-generational getaway, or simply a break from routine, we hope Mizu River House becomes the place you return to summer after summer.

Mizu River House is a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom riverfront home, including a private ADU, comfortably sleeping up to 14 guests — ideal for large groups who want space of their own alongside shared gathering areas. The property includes a private dock with kayaks and paddleboards, a hot tub, fire pit, dedicated game room, and a fully equipped kitchen built for cooking as a group.
What sets this property apart is its location: direct river access for floating the Deschutes right from your backyard, combined with easy reach to two very different worlds. Mount Bachelor's ski slopes are a short drive away for winter adventure, while downtown Bend offers breweries, restaurants, and shopping when you're ready for city energy. Sunriver's own trails and shops are just minutes out your door. Few homes offer river, mountain, and city all within one easy basecamp.
